26 Feb Cookie stuffing – what is it?
This post was ready yesterday, but I was fucking busy due to these Black Fridays. Therefore, after the hype is gone, I will tell you how we used to raise money on such thing as Cookie stuffing.
A cookie is a small amount of data found on your computer after visiting certain websites. Cashbacks install cookies, so that when we shop online, the store itself sees that we came from a cashback service, which will then also be paid a little cash. Bloggers who ask to order goods, install games and register on sites using their link do it for a reason.
Even now cookie staffing is still working. Cookies live for about a month on a computer or until they are eliminated by competitors in the hunt for the same stores (offers). Via the tracker, a popunder campaign is created with an array of redirects to all popular services (online shops, food delivery, goods, air travel, hotels and so on) in the hope that within a month the user will spend his money on it.
Large resources are combating this (Aliexpress has already closed up this goldmine where almost everyone raised good money in the past), however, during these 11.11 Fridays I recommend cleaning up cookies, because it sucks to be a source of profit for someone.
